What is this lesson about?

This “post-workshop” lesson guides you through the learning material for cloud computing in the CMS open data workshop.

  • It points you to the existing “pre-exercise” lesson to learn the basics and for local testing
  • It shows how to create a cluster of your own (during the workshop, the clusters were created for you)
  • It points you to the existing hands-on lesson to learn how to process CMS open data on cloud resources
  • It shows how to delete the cluster and the persistent disk.

Prerequisites

In order to complete this lesson you need

  • A basic understanding of UNIX shells (external link).
  • A basic understanding of containers (after completing the Docker lesson).
